Economic Development

The Town of La Grange has its roots in agriculture, but has grown and moved with the times with several active residential subdivisions.  La Grange is rich in history and tradition, with many homes and businesses listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, La Grange has about 2,800 citizens.

Strategically located in western Lenoir County La Grange is poised for growth.  With rail and major highway access, La Grange is the perfect spot for residential, commercial, and industrial growth. Ideally located between Kinston and Goldsboro on Highway 70 the residents and businesses of La Grange enjoy easy commutes to the beaches of North Carolina, I-95, Raleigh, and Seymour Johnson Air Force base.  La Grange is centrally located in the Coastal Plain region of North Carolina.  La Grange is within 15 minutes of the Global TransPark (GTP) and approximately 80 miles from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport and the Research Triangle Park.
