Current Offerings

Though the Town does not have a formal Recreation Department, we offer youth t-ball, baseball programs through an partnership with the La Grange Recreation Association. The program exists through private donations, volunteer efforts and coaching, and an annual municipal appropriation. Recreational offerings are being evaluated, and additions have already been made. 

Municipal Park

The municipal park is home to a softball field, playground equipment, tennis courts, and a quarter mile walking track, picnic tables and grills. The tennis courts and walking track are lighted to afford citizens an opportunity to utilize these facilities after sundown. The municipal park is located at the intersection of Center Street and South Railroad Street.

Future Facilities & Programs

The Town Council is considering the construction of additional recreational facilities at an alternate location in the near future. The Town also partners with Lenoir County School system to utilize softball and baseball fields, playground equipment and other facilities at La Grange Elementary and the baseball field at Frink Middle School.
