The La Grange Spot Jam is a free summer concert series created in September 2016. The main focus of the Spot Jam is to provide La Grange citizens and those of neighboring communities with an opportunity to come out and enjoy a free concert while also associating with people of all ages, races, and backgrounds. Currently, the La Grange Spot Jam is held on the third Thursday of each month in June, July, and August. The main intent for the Spot Jam series is bout bringing individuals together, both in and out of La Grange, in order to showcase our small town and the greatness that we have and the greatness we aspire to achieve.

On July 4, 1980, a group of talented musicians from eastern NC set out on a journey that would ultimately take them throughout the Southeastern United States, gain them thousands of devoted fans, see them inducted into the Beach Music Hall of Fame, earning five CAMMY Awards and establish them as one of beach music's all-time best. The Breeze Band's signature sound, featuring tight vocal harmonies, polished brass and rhythm sections, along with state-of-the-art sight and sound system enables them to perform a varied list of well-know and original songs from genres including beach, soul, R&B, and the classics.
Dakota Blue is an American Country rock/Southern rock band from Snow Hill, NC. Their music reflects the vast array of musical influences from Pearl Jam to Waylon, from the Eagles to Travis Tritt. They have performed throughout North Carolina both as headliner and as the supporting act for artists such as Colt Ford, Mattie & Tae, Love and Theft and other major North Carolina acts. ON September 8, 2016, they performed at the "Spot Jam" festival in La Grange, NC where they began live recordings of their first music video for the song "Emerald Isle", a Dakota Blue original and a favorite with the fans. Dakota Blue fans affectionately call themselves "The Blue Crew".
The Donald Thompson Band delivers rousing versions of blues, vintage rhythm 'n' blues and classic rock, entertaining and delighting audiences of all ages wherever they go. The band's colorful stage attire harkens back to the "cool threads" worn by the performers in the legendary days of vinyl records. Couple this look with dynamic vocals, hot guitars, wailing harmonica, rocking piano and Hammond organ, and in-the-groove drumming and you've got a treat for both the eyes and the ears.
